Welcome to Hoagy's Guitars
My name is Greg Hough (the "O" in Hough is pronounced "oh")
hence the name Hoagy's guitars and I am in love with archtop
guitars. I have other kinds of guitars but none thrill me like
the archtop guitar. I love the way they look the way they feel
and of course the way that they sound. In my opinion there is
no other type of guitar that has the character and the strength
of an archtop guitar. I also like archtop mandolins of which
I have a few.
I love to buy sell and swap archtop guitars. I am not
a dealer just a collector and player. On
the following pages you will eventually see a good sample of
guitars
and mandolins
and guitar accessories that I own. Some are for show and
not for sale. Others are for sale. If you have the
right guitar to swap or the right amount of cash I might be willing
to part with
just about any of them. If you have the right type of archtop
guitar for sale I would be willing to buy it if the price is
right.
I am at first interested in archtop cutaway guitars in natural
wood finish. Occasionally I will buy a sunburst if it is cool
enough or rare enough. As you will see I am also intrigued
with the German archtop guitars. If you have a Roger or
a Lang you might want to sell or trade please let me know.
