50's Light Blonde Kay

This Kay has a full voice but is not as loud as the other Kays. It has a deeper sound than my other K-11. It sounds great with a DeArmond on it. It has great sustain more like a solid body. I don't know where the sustain comes from but it is there.

The neck is perfectly straight and plays like a dream. It was re-fretted and whoever did it did an exquisite job. Some of my most expensive guitars don't have as good a fret job. No buzzes just clean sound.

It is very funky looking. Anybody who likes them clean would not like this baby. It has been played rough but she shows no signs of giving in (it is structurally sound). She just continues to do her job like a champ.
